The Mission of the Kanawha/Charleston Humane Association is to promote the humane treatment of animals by way of education, humane animal population control and care for injured, homeless, strayed and lost animals.

Hundreds of homeless and unwanted dogs and cats are at the shelter  We need your help. At KCHA (Kanawha / Charleston Humane Association), we help you find the perfect companion.

 
If you have a big heart, time to spare and a willingness to open your home to loving and needy animals, then you are just the person we are looking for.
 
We stop adopting animals 30 minutes prior to closing each day.
